Overview
The Nortel Meridian Communications Adapter ( MCA) allows computers and other devices to easily communicate through the telephone network. With the simple addition of the MCA in Meridian Digital Telephones, personal computers, ASCII terminals, video equipment and Group IV facsimiles can communicate via the built-in RS-232 or V.35 interfaces.

* The Meridian Communications Adapter uses the standard telephone wiring already in place and eliminates the need for dedicated data facilities.
* Eight Programmable Feature Keys
* Asynchronous data connections up to 19.2 Kbps and Synchronous data up to 64 Kbps allow you to quickly transmit files, data, video and even images across the office or around the globe.
* Data call dialing can be accomplished via the keyboard or telephone keypad, or by using the Hayes dialing feature.
* With Script Files capabilities, users can preprogram multiple resource locations using mnemonic address names, rather than remembering telephone numbers.
